Core Concepts
Slides
Slides are the structural units (frames) of a cutscene.
Each slide contains:
- Dialogue text
- Associated image
- Sound effects
- Voice clips
A cutscene progresses sequentially from one slide to the next.
Characters
Characters define:
- The display name shown in dialogue
- The text color used for that character’s dialogue
Characters are assigned per dialogue entry.
Dialogue
Dialogue is added per slide using the right-side panel.
This is the text displayed when that slide is active.
Images
Images determine the visual shown during a slide.
Each slide can have its own assigned image.
Sound Effects
Sound effects are triggered when a slide becomes active.
They are typically used for:
- UI sounds
- Environmental cues
- Action sounds
Voice Clips
Voice clips function similarly to sound effects but are intended specifically for spoken dialogue.
They trigger when the slide is reached.
Global Audio
Global Audio is used for:
- Music
- Ambience
- Long-running audio
Unlike slide-based sounds, global audio can span multiple slides.
When adding global audio, you must define:
- Starting Slide – The slide where playback begins
- Ending Slide – The last slide it plays on
(Playback stops at the beginning of the next slide)
